New Tech Savvy way to meet new relationships

Revolutionary personality compatibility device and new OneKeyAway singles event helps people search for a new friend or relationship and gives an opportunity to mix and mingle with one another in a non-threatening way.

Meeting new friends and relationships just got easier with a new introductions event that is sweeping California.

Started at the Beaches of Southern California, OneKeyAway events are coming to Northern California and having their Launch and News Media Party in Milpitas at the Pacific Palms Bar on Saturday evening May 1, 2004.

OneKeyAway (OneKeyAway.com) is a new singles-events company that uses the MatchlinC Technology (www.matchlinc.com) devices, electronic personality compatibility gadgets the size of a small car alarm remote, as an ice-breaking tool.

OneKeyAway has designed introduction events where there are from 50 to 200 singles searching for a relationship. Guests at OneKeyAway Mixers program the portable electronic tools to find personality matches from other singles. Guests have the opportunity to mix and mingle with other guests in a non-threatening way.

“I'm really excited to see our singles mixers take off and expand to Northern California”, says Edwin Duterte of OneKeyAway. “Last year, I decided that I wanted to put together an event where people would meet, not feel threatened to approach a stranger and chat more than just small talk. I knew that people, like myself, were tired of going to a loud bar and meeting wrong and superficial people. Then I was introduced to these personality compatibility devices and incorporated the devices into my events. It was an immediate hit. I found out that about a third of my guests, who were actively looking for a relationship, actually found a connection.”

The events are being touted as the next singles trend. Jerry Fontanares, OneKeyAway's Northern California Event Coordinator, says, “The devices are a fun high-tech gadget for singles and the event is the first ice breaker for singles ideally suited for the Bay Area and, especially, Silicon Valley. Let's say it's the ‘tech savvy' way to meet someone else.”

OneKeyAway's Northern California Launch Party will be held at the Pacific Palms Bar (1380 South Main Street, Milpitas, CA). Registration will start at 7:30 PM. Entertainment will include two up and coming bands. RSVP is suggested by emailing your first and last name to RSVP@onekeyaway.com.

The gadget (“MatchlinC”), developed in the late 1990's, is the first individual mobile personality compatibility device. The MatchlinC has a micro-computer chip that uses a proprietary algorithm designed by various university professors that analyzes two peoples personality compatibility. The MatchlinC analysis gives the users a range of how well the potential relationship will work.

Guests answer a set of questions pertaining to the most important dating topics such as their preferences, attitudes and the core of their personality, that they would not ordinarily reveal to someone - at least not right away. Only they know how the questions are answered. Their personal information is kept secure. Then they enter their answers into the MatchLinC by depressing either the 'P' or 'T' button for each questionnaire item. It takes only a few minutes (typically less than 5) to complete this process, and their profile is encrypted and stored inside the computer's memory.

Upon meeting someone else, guests compare their personality profiles by pointing the MatchLinCs at each other and pressing a button. Within seconds, the MatchLinC instantly shows how compatible they are, in one of eleven levels ranging from 'Excellent' to ‘Needs Work!'

A high rating likely means the potential relationship will have little compromises in order to be successful. On the contrary, a low rating reading likely means the potential relationship will have more compromises in order to be successful. Basically, it allows users to make a completely informed decision about their emotional, romantic or sexual partner choices early into the relationship!

Throughout the night, guests approach other guests to "zap" or "MatchlinC" each others personalities to their devices. If there is an attraction, either personality wise or physically, the two can mutually agree to talk further or move to "MatchlinC" other guests. The event is designed to be fun and fluid, but at the same time allows everyone to meet.

On January 29th, OneKeyAway launched their first official mixer in Santa Monica with over 200 guests attended. Fox News covered the event.
