Los Angeles, CA. Click2Asia, the premier Asian online dating website, held its first ever Speed Dating Event at the famed Lunaria Restaurant-Jazz Club on July 24th, 2003. The breakthrough success of this anticipated event was a product of the overwhelming number of signups, support from Click2Asia members, and the enthusiasm shared among participants. Never before has Click2Asia hosted an event of this degree and this event was definitely a deviation from the customary monthly parties.

What is Speed Dating?
Speed Dating is an exciting, quick, non-pressured way to meet singles in the succession of mini-dates. It is the curtailed, methodical version of a conventional “blind date” but without the need for uncomfortable ice breaking and expensive dinners/lunches with incompatible people. Best of all every person there is serious about dating. A group of singles—an equal number of men and women—gather together at a venue filled with numbered “tables for two”. Each person will have 5 minutes per date. The MC will announce each date's completion and the participants will then relay the thoughts garnered from each experience on a piece of paper. This entails simply checking a ‘yes' or ‘no' box. The men will get up from their seats and move to the next table where the next set of women are waiting. Two people are deemed compatible if both have checked the ‘yes' box and the organizers will inform the participants within 48 hours the matches made and coordinate the exchange of email addresses.
